The District 5 MPD Crime & Safety Meeting

A monthly community forum where residents, businesses, neighborhood organizations, and Milwaukee Police Department officers work together to address crime, improve public safety, and strengthen neighborhoods. Participants receive crime updates, discuss local concerns, share solutions, learn about available resources, and build partnerships that promote safer, stronger, and more connected communities.

• Safety Meetings: The monthly meeting occurs on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Thrive on King (2153 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.). The guest speaker for the month is the Salvation Army. 

  
  

• National Night Out: District 5 will host its National Night Out event on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carver Park / James W. Beckum Park (900 W. Brown St.). This free, family-friendly event is designed to build neighborhood camaraderie and strengthen police-community partnerships.
