Upcoming Hopkins Street Protected Bike Lane Meetings - April 5th & 9th.

Milwaukee, Wi 4/2025: The Department of Public Works at the City of Milwaukee has been working over the past several months to redesign W. Hopkins Street - from the intersection of Locust and Teutonia to Capitol Drive.
The goals of the project are to calm traffic to make the street safer for everyone walking, biking, and driving and add dedicated protected bike lanes to the corridor. Check out the project website here.
The Connecting the Corridor Strategic Action Plan, adopted in 2020, discusses improving Hopkins Street and increasing safety for all transportation methods.
The Hopkins Protected Bike Lane team hopes you can join them at one of their two upcoming public meeting days, where they will share more about the project, discuss some of the design options, and hear your feedback and input.
